Ethics, Deontology, History and Philosophy of Science

Description:

This teaching unit provides the vital epistemological framework for ecology and environmental sciences.

Learning Objectives:

Theoretical learning outcomes:
• Acquiring basics in epistemology and the history of science.
• Developing knowledge in ethics (involving ethics in animal experimentation) and deontology in scientific fields.
• Developing knowledge in conservation biology.

Teaching Methods:

Lectures, seminars.

Assessment:

Reports on the content of the sessions, oral and written exams.
